My education major requires a hefty amount of hours devoted to student teaching. Previously, I have been placed as a student teacher in a 3rd grade class where I was given the responsibility to teach a math lesson once a week, and I enjoyed finding my passion for teaching. After that, I was eager to test out the waters in a few different high school classrooms, and even earned a small tutoring position with one of the students. It was in these high school classrooms where I found my vocation, and I was proud to have helped my student raise his failing grade to a C+ within 2 months. Currently, I am enrolled in a course where I am student teaching in a Geometry and Algebra 1B high school class. This opportunity has also given me multiple chances to work with students one on one, and I have even been asked by the principle to stay during after school tutoring for struggling students. My passion for teaching is only enhanced by my positivity and desire to strive for excellence in educational motivation.
