I am able to assist students with designing research projects, especially in biology. I can also help with research, scientific methods, writing, and English. Additionally, I am able to provide students with insight into the fields of science and medicine due to my background. I have worked as a consultant in the pharmaceutical and biomedical industries, as an editor for pharmaceutical industry publications, and as a molecular biologist. I have edited reports written by PhDs and MDs, I have trained consultants, written scientific papers, and developed experiments. I was a laboratory teaching assistant at UC Berkeley in an optometry microbiology lab, a high school biology teacher, and a martial arts instructor. I have tutored English as a second language (ESL) students in writing for many years. I received a Master of Public Health in Infectious Diseases from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from UC Santa Cruz. I also have an MBA in Information Technology from UC Irvine. I love to travel, and have visited over 20 countries. For this reason, I would love to work with international students. I like teaching young people as well. My other hobbies include reading ethnographies and historical stories, as well as kenpo karate.
